Weight Control Bridge
Balance your rifle where it matters. The Weight Control Bridge adds 714 g of steel to the very front of the forend, on top of your MDT ACC Elite or ACC Premier Gen2 chassis. It fits flush with the forend tip, so the weight sits as far forward as possible.
Why add weight to the forend?
Weight at the front of the rifle moves the balance point forward and makes the rifle steadier on barricades, props and bags. It settles faster after recoil, and stage transitions feel more controlled. Because the weight is at the very front of the forend, a small amount of mass does a lot of balancing.
More than a weight
- Less mirage: the bridge covers the top of the barrel in front of your scope. Heat rising off a hot barrel is kept out of your line of sight, so the image stays clearer during long strings of fire.
- Barrel protection: grab the rifle by the forend without touching a hot barrel. Your barrel is also shielded from knocks.
- Hand stop: the raised front section works as a natural hand stop when you carry the rifle upright.
- Knurled grip: the textured rear section gives your hand a secure hold on the forend.
Built to last
- Material: 1045 carbon steel
- Finish: Tenifer (black QPQ salt-bath ferritic nitrocarburizing with post-oxidation)
- Weight: 714 g
- Length: 255.75 mm
- Width: 50 mm
- Compatible with: MDT ACC Elite, MDT ACC Premier Gen2
The Tenifer QPQ treatment gives a hard, wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant black surface that is part of the steel itself, not a coating that can chip or peel.
Will it fit my build?
The bridge sits under the front of your scope. With a low scope mount, a large objective or a long sunshade, it may show in your view or come close to touching the scope. Enter your setup below to check before you buy.
