Position7 Competition Firing Pin for CZ 457

Unlike the factory firing pin, which uses a long flat wegde tip, the Position7 firing pin features a precision-machined square striking surface. This design creates a more consistent and uniform indentation on the rim of the cartridge, helping to improve ignition consistency and reduce variations between shots.

Because the firing pin is optimized specifically for rim engagement on .22 Long Rifle ammunition, it is only compatible with .22 LR cartridges.

To further enhance performance and longevity, the firing pin is finished with a premium DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. DLC provides exceptional hardness, wear resistance, and a low-friction surface, allowing the firing pin to move more smoothly within the bolt while resisting corrosion and mechanical wear.

The factory CZ firing pin uses a nickel coating that is known to wear and flake over time. As the coating deteriorates, nickel particles/flakes can accumulate inside the firing pin channel, potentially causing drag in the firing pin channel, inconsistent ignition, and increased maintenance requirements. The Position7 DLC coating eliminates this issue, ensuring long-term reliability even under high round counts.
