Your tripod is already part of the way you work through a match. You use it while ranging targets in preparation for a stage, making a stage plan, calculating dope and spotting. The Tripod Match Organizer gives those tasks a dedicated workspace, with your match essentials open and within reach.

After testing the original BP Threadworks field book, we had some ideas on how to make this even better. Position7 spec’d this wider version. It accommodates a full A5 match book or a folded A4 page, held by a large elastic strip on the lower panel. There is room to keep your stage information in front of you while you work, then refer back to it as the stage unfolds.

Organize the small things that matter

The upper panel has seven elastic pen slots and two card slots. Two more pen slots sit at the sides. Keep markers for dope cards and a pen for stage notes. The card slots give your dope cards a dedicated space, one for the active stage, and the used/blank ones behind.

During stage prep, you can work through distances, target order, positions and holds with your tools laid out in front of you. While spotting, the organizer remains your reference point: check the plan, note a wind call, record an impact or write down a correction without searching through a bag. The open layout lets you use the information as you go, rather than packing it away between tasks.

Mount it, adjust it, fold it away

The admin panel mounts directly over the tripod head using 1-inch strap and an adjustable triglide. Rubberized ToughTek lining helps prevent it from shifting while you write.

The drawstring provides height adjustment to suit your working position. When it is time to move, fold the panel closed and cinch the paracord with its cord lock. Your notes and tools stay together, and the tripod caddy is quick to stow before the next stage.

A laser-cut PALS panel provides MOLLE-compatible mounting space for additional tools or pouches. The organizer is built from 500D Cordura, mil-spec webbing and bonded nylon thread, following the construction of BP Threadworks’ original Field Book.

A Position7 exclusive

We worked with BP Threadworks on a version of their Field Book shaped around how we use a tripod during matches. Position7 specified the wider format for an A5 match book or folded A4 page, along with the additional pen and card storage. BP Threadworks makes it, and both logos appear on the finished organizer.
