CZ OEM Flyweight trigger and firing pin kit

The CZ 457 Flyweight Trigger is a purpose-built competition trigger designed for shooters seeking the lightest possible trigger pull on the CZ 457 platform. Developed specifically for precision rimfire disciplines, it delivers an exceptionally crisp and clean break with extensive adjustability and minimal creep.

Unlike the factory CZ 457 trigger, the Flyweight Trigger is a true two-stage competition system that allows detailed tuning of multiple parameters, including:

• First-stage travel length
• Second-stage travel length
• Second-stage pull resistance
• Overtravel adjustment
• Trigger shoe position and angle

The trigger pull weight is adjustable from approximately 80–180 g, with a factory setting around 110 g. This extremely light pull weight makes the Flyweight Trigger especially well suited for bench rest shooting and highly refined precision setups where minimal disturbance during the shot is the priority.

At Position7, we would generally recommend the CZ Flyweight Trigger primarily for bench rest shooters or shooters who specifically prefer an ultra-light trigger pull. For PRS Rimfire or NRL22 competition use, many shooters may prefer the slightly heavier Timney trigger, especially in dynamic shooting positions and stressful stages.

Compared with the Timney CZ 457 trigger, the Flyweight offers a substantially lighter pull weight and more advanced fine-tuning options, but it also requires more careful setup and adjustment. The Timney remains an excellent “install and shoot” option with a wider practical pull range for field-style competition shooting.

The Flyweight Trigger package also includes a competition firing pin, which must be installed together with the trigger assembly for proper and safe operation. The included firing pin is marked with an “F” designation.
